Back around 2011, breeders Joesy Whales and Lone Watty experienced a nasty security scare that forced them to move their garden multiple times. The sheer stress caused a Chem's Sister plant to herm out and dump pollen all over a Sour Dubb. Frustrated by the seeded crop, Joesy was ready to scrap the whole thing, but his buddy Mardogg managed to save a handful of those accidental beans. A year later, they decided to pop them.
Out of the four phenotypes they hunted, the #4 cut emerged as the absolute keeper. It earned the original "Gorilla Glue" moniker because the insane resin production literally glued their trimming scissors shut. It’s a beastly three-way cross of Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel. The brand had to pivot to the name Original Glue or GG4 after the adhesive company hit them with a trademark lawsuit in 2017, but the legendary status of the cut was already cemented.
