Dropped by Dinafem Seeds in 2005, this strain single-handedly proved that Spanish breeders could run with the big dogs in Holland. It's a cross of a heavily resinous White Widow and a soaring Haze, bred specifically to push yields and potency to the absolute limit. It earned its name for a reason; this thing grows into an absolute whale of a plant.
In the dirt, Moby Dick is notoriously hungry and needs a ton of space. Outdoors, it routinely turns into a massive, three-meter-tall Christmas tree that can pull down up to 1,500 grams per plant if you treat her right. The vigor on this hybrid is insane, though you have to watch out for mold if your late-season weather gets damp, simply because the colas get so incredibly thick. The resin coverage is clearly inherited from the White Widow side, coating every sugar leaf in thick, sticky trichomes.
The smoke is classic, old-school powerhouse weed. Thanks to the Haze genetics, the high hits fast and hard with a cerebral, energetic rush that can easily catch a lightweight smoker off guard. Dinafem eventually spun it off into a whole line, dropping Moby Dick #2 and even a CBD version, but the original cut remains a high-water mark for commercial growers looking for both quality and massive weight.
