About Cultivar
Cultivar is a grow journal built by a home grower who got tired of advice that ignored the tent it was given about. The app logs waterings, feedings, photos and sensor readings, grades the environment against stage-appropriate bands, and links every plant to its genetics.
Why these guides exist
Every reference page on this site publishes the same numbers the app grades against. If we tell you flowering wants 1.0–1.4 kPa, that is the band a real grow is scored on inside the product — not a number copied from another blog. When we get one wrong, it changes in both places.
What we can say that others can't
- A genetics library of 20,741 strains across 1,530 breeders, with lineage and pedigree trees.
- Real, published grow journals with environment grades and harvest results — logged by growers, not marketing teams.
- Aggregate outcomes: what real home grows actually run at, not what a seed listing claims.
How we make money
Some outbound product links are affiliate links, marked as such, and we only list gear that solves the problem on the page it appears on. The journal itself is free. Full detail on the disclosures page.
Corrections
Found something wrong? Every strain page has a "Suggest an edit" button, and guide corrections reach us the same way. We date every change.
